A note on strumming:
Quite frankly, I don't even know what I'm doing. I start with DOWN-DOWN but then it goes into more of a continuous up-and-down strumming. If strumming is tough for you now I would just encourage you to keep on practicing and playing. It took me a while to get down, but eventually you won't even have to think about whether it's up-down-up, etc. For now just try strumming something that sounds close to what I'm doing. Eventually you'll get the gist of it.

@93MelD if you want to play the guitar, then you can... it's all about your mentality (is that a word?)

I currently learn from lessons like this, but from someone else, and he is very good, he has his lessons divided in stages where you gradually learn chords and such, but I think it's inappropiate to advertise on someone else's channel....

bottom line, learning guitar isn't hard, you just have to push yourself a bit for the practice time and above all, enjoy it!

actually Miley was one if the writers of the song cause it was about her relationship and the tune of the song is a fast version of Hello Beautiful. lol. And this really helped me a lot! I can almost play it straight now

@93MelD you can learn to play the basics by yourself. If you're really serious about playing you should probably get lessons, but if you're just looking to play some simple tunes it's pretty easy to pick up the basic chords :)

guys, a question: i really wanna play the guitar too, but my parents say no, sooo, i wanna buy a guitar with my own money and wanna learn it to play with vids like this. do u think this is possible? is playing the guitar TOO difficult??
