Americans vote based on the news. The media only runs 2 candidates. It's basically impossible to get this country to vote smart when 1/4 of the voters in states like... Texas think that Obama is a muslim.

This country is by large a stupid country. Our education sucks. It's pretty obvious that we're gonna have problems with our presidential candidates.

You think you are voting for president but you're not. Your vote goes toward electors. Each district is all or nothing. My district has 17 electors. If my libertarian vote does not win my district, those 17 electors get to steal my vote. Its not like 6 dem, 5 rep, 3 lib, 1 const, 1 green, 1 ind. If 6 is enough for dems to win, the rest get screwed. Dems cast all 17 as though the state was unanimous. The "will of the people" does not exist. It's a hideous statist lie.

I wouldn't spend the dollar to guess the weight of the pumpkin because I don't caare about winning $100. Same reason I don't participate in any lottery winnings nonsense.

But voting, that isn't for money it's for democracy. The problem with our current system is that not enough people are voting and not enough people are making educated votes, not that too many people are voting.

Voting truly matters (as penn states in a later episode) on swing states where the outcome is not decided in months in advance. Places like Oregon, Washington state (where I live) California, will be Democrat, no matter what happens, the voting for president will be democrat, so those places, votes do not matter. In states that no one is ever sure, your vote is worth more and actually has meaning.
