AFT president Randi Weingarten on social justice presented by AFTexposed.com

American Federation of Teachers president Randi Weingarten believes unions and public schools serve as agents for social justice. The AFT's theory behind "community schools" is that schools can serve as the hub of the community, thereby ensuring their importance and funding. Thus, Weingarten's membership numbers can stablize and grow.

But, if Weingarten's theory of schools as social justice agents is valid, Weingarten's AFT is failing miserably. The AFT represents school employees in some of the poorest performing districts in the country: Chicago, New York, Detroit, etc.

What does public education and the labor movement have in common? Public schools are factories that teach children to become compliant, sometimes medicated, worker bees who pay union dues and do their bidding. This must be what is meant by "socialization"...

Her definition of fairness for "working folk" is bad high-school students getting a chance to spot weld at GM for 6 figure salaries, or join public unions & earn more $ in retirement than years of work. The socialist agenda started in the early 1900's along with the temperance movement ! It has followed a path laid out by the same people that brought us communist China, The U.S.S.R., Cuba etc..... It has taken far longer to reach it's zenith here in America for many reasons but ultimately it will play out in much the same manner as it has with all other socialist agenda's ultimately it will end in a heaping ball of flames and a countries collapse.
