@14columbiac - Study some economic theory from Mises, Friedman, and Sewell. What excessive Government spending does is it takes away from the economy by injecting uncertainty into the marketplace, thus the stagnant jobs numbers. Keynes has been proven wrong.
Also, the Democrats are spending too much. The monthly deficit is now equal to Bush's annual deficit. Debt to GDP is at 120%, and Greece's debt to GDP was 135% at the time of collapse. The Deficit is approximately 13% of GDP.
