Puffy AmiYumi talk to NME.com in the production area at Summer Sonic 2009 near Tokyo, Japan.

Known in Japan simply as Puffy, Ami and Yumi are one of the best-known pop outfits in Japan. Over their 13-year history, they've had their own Mattel toys, TV shows and videogames, and have worked with artists as diverse as Jon Spencer, Avril Lavigne and Guitar Wolf. Their numerous US tours led to their very own Cartoon Network animation, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, which is also shown in the UK and over 100 other countries.
