q-jet carbs were used on 429 cobra jets so yeah you better get your facts right before you open your mouth and make yourself sound like a dumbass

NEVER?!?!?!?! You sir, dont come at with some bullshit you know nothing about, They did use them on select applications for the 351C and 429/460 in the early to mid 70's. You need to learn more before you assume you have your facts right. To assume is to make and ass you of you and me both, but mostly just you.

@1MudDobber2 AAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaa !!!!!!!!! You are mis-informing the masses Sir ! Ford NEVER used a Q-jet.
They used an Autolite which was very similar to MoPar's Thermo-Quad in appearance. They were both spread-bore style carbs. Before you attack, check the facts OR if all else fails, GOOGLE it.

@1MudDobber2 In that case I agree, I have a carter AFB on my 300, its been there for 6 years and i have never done anything to it but change the air filter, no adjustments at all, but them hollys...I dont like them except the truck avangers, they seem to be pretty reliable and keep there tune.

@1MudDobber2 What I meant by it was each companie had a favorite in carburetors, that's all. I've never seen a quadrajet on a Ford. I've just seen Ford carburetors or Holley. My dad's 71 Plimouth Road Runner carb had to be re-built 5 times in the last 2 years and still leaks, so we had to get a new one. The Edelbrocks seem to have more throttle response and will last for years without a rebuild.
where might i beabel to get one or is this like a 494 boared and stroked

I live in Australia and the engine was built here by a local engine builder Peter Michael at PM Engines.
