Breaking in and testing out the new(er) Chevy 383 in my 1972 Cobalt Jet runabout. A broken water pump belt overheated the previous 383, leading to this buildup.

Carb: Custom assembled and tuned Quadrajet using big block spec parts by Recarbco Carburetors.

Other: Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold, 7Qt "Econo" Series Hamburger Racing oil pan, GLM Universal style center rise exhaust manifolds and risers.

  • Sweet! Was that bird shit on the window? Does this have the OMC jet drive? Im looking at a boat that has 290 hp its a 76 cobalt 19 footer jet drive. How fast does your boat go?
