shouldn't the jack stand be placed at the location behind the jack on the frame? Isn't the location shown the "lift point" not the "stand point"?

i have ramps which is nice for changing the oil on this car. they were a garage sale find (only 5 bucks) but they're metal and heavy son uva guns. still beats removing the tire though, i think.

while removing the wheel, and the splash shield seems to give you easier access to the oil filter, it adds alot more work. i just crawl under reach up between the cv axle and the inner tie rod and use a oil filter cup and a ratchet to remove the filter.

@rgrafton Haha I thought I was the only one who noticed it.

damn it, i didn't think it would be this complicated. i miss my old jeep

Hey, this is excellent info. I had no clue how to change the filter, thanks much!

I want oil on my subframe, prevents rust.
What's wrong with getting oil on the sub frame?

@magreger Yes if you live in the salt belt let it run on the frame

THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO - I couldn't find my filter for the life of me! I will use this tip for the next time. Silly question but is it the same on an SL2?
