ENERFLEX RADIANT BARRIER FOIL (metalized film) http://www.EnerflexFoil.com is a highly reflective, double-sided, multilayered radiant foil barrier material (that blocks up to 96% of radiant energy. Enerflex is an easy to install radiant foil barrier, and it can be installed in both new and existing homes. Radiant barrier foil installs between rafters to the underside of a roof and on other vertical surfaces in an attic to reduce solar heat gain into the home. In cool weather, Enerflex attic insulation radiant barrier helps prevent radiant energy from leaving the home and reduces heat loss, which adds up to significant energy cost savings.

Enerflex metallic film (metallized polyester film) meets the NEW ASTM E84-2009 using the E2599 mounting method. If you are doing new construction you may need this product to meet code requirements. It is very strong and durable and achieves a CLASS A/CLASS 1 FIRE RATING.

  • Enerflex panels are much easier to install between the rafters compared to rolled radiant barrier products. The panel product, available in 16” or 24” on center widths, is smartly designed so that one person can install without tools. Each panel has thin flexible rods that allow for a snug friction fit. Flex the panels into place and your done.

  • why not just staple it the rafters rather than cut it?
