even when your computer is stting idle
it takes quite a bit of electricity
and when you run folding@home, it takes even more power
so if you want to use lotts of electricity- sure
but if you have a high end gamming computer
your probably rich
you could also run folding on your gpu

the way that would work would be send raw footage to other computers to cruch?
which currently would probably take forever to transfer
the better way it seems is to use excess gpu cycles to compute stuff

petaflops are 1000gigaflops and i have a high end gaming computer, however i usually leave it on over night to download, so could i let them use my CPU when im not?

5 computers running the folding@home software. If you want to help these projects, try installing them on computers of light users like moms pc.
