@TommyOwnzU i see your point. there are alot of stupid fans. i love slipknot but there are definitely better musicians! i understand that, and i think its more the fans that get him bashed. but yeah, im not sure how he got that best drummer award, it doesnt make sense. but im glad you arent one of the people that just blindly screams about how jordison is the worst drummer ever or anything stupid like that

He's not only a fast drummer he also has great rhythm. If you watch his video's he know's way more than just beating on the drum's; it's not all about the blast and fast footwork.

@masterofhi50 I think it's partly down to Jordison's being extremely over-rated. For example, his best drummer of the past 25 years award, I can think of numerous drummers who would have deserved it more :3 It partly stems, also, from Joey being in Slipknot, which are possibly the worlds most mainstream modern metal band, that gets him a loaaaad of publicity and "big-ups" from people who aren't even drummers saying "Joey's the best drummer in history!" etc. I don't mind him personally xD

what the hell...i dont think joey ever said he was better...he doesnt go around and say hes the best in the world, why the hell does everyone hate him? theres better drummers but theres also alot of drummers that are worse than joey but get praise for it. derek roddy is amazing, he can play many styles and has amazing groove. joey is good at metal, what HE GETS PAID FOR. roddy is better no doubt, but joey doesnt deserve the shit he gets

@MaximumOverthruster0 yeah I've never really been into Slipknot since the beginning. Sure they have some good songs, but if you're a real death metal lover, you'd stick to death metal bands that don't play dress up.
