Worst car I ever owned. Bought one used in 1988...it was in the shop longer than I had it on the road. The car was abused by previous owners as well, and its condition was misrepresented by the dealer I bought it at. Had to replace both the engine and transmission, as well as other things. A waste of almost $2000.

...YESS!!!! BODY SIDE MOLDING!!!!!!!!!

It was really a crap car. A college buddy had a powder blue one - they rode terribly - long before small cars were perfected.

My brother had an early 90s Sunbird, he called it a Sunturd.

My mom had one of these when I was very young. After she wrecked it her and my dad picked up a used 2 door '71 Chevelle with A 350. After she blew the 350 he put A 4 bolt main 327 with 4bbl and some speed parts in it. That car is what got me "into cars" I find it weird that you literally never see GM H body cars on the road even in the mid 80's I ever recalled seeing many. I think it would be cool to get A v8 Powered Sunbird Formula, Monza or Firenza and soup it up on the cheap. Could be fun:D

I had a 78 Pontiac Sunbird hatchback with a small V8 (swapped for a 350) with 4 spd., was a great car ....cheap looking, cheap feeling.....but surprised a lot of 5.0 Mustangs.

I remember when a radio and carpet were options in cars....

I didn't know that Sunbirds were around in '79.
Whitewalls and AM standard? WOW! That's value!
