Watch the prototype Honda CR-Z MUGEN, developed in conjunction with MUGEN Euro, make its first appearance on the road.

Performance figures already look promising for this supercharged Honda CR-Z, as early tests with a prototype car based on a standard CR-Z and a mid-tune engine giving 0-60mph times around that of the Civic Type R.

  • good job Toyota, Hw much did u pay for ur guys for the 15 dislikes?

  • What is Honda thinking?

Just for fun, look at a the most current gen of prelude (97-01), a vehicle that was always criticized for being obese. Weighing in at approx 3042lb compared to the CRZ's 26-2700lb's . My old 91 civic h/b dual point injection 1.5sohc non vtec non hybrid used to run 0-60 just as fast or faster than a stock CRZ, and it would get 30-40 combined mpg. Maybe HOnda needs to look into the past a bit, before venturing too far into the future.

  • @jmac79ers gotta have the safety equipment nowadays, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to get into an accident in your old civic, it'd become a pile of scrap metal.

  • i would buy this in a heartbeat

  • @kokharngteh Depends where you live. I think the Euro and Japan models have 4, but American models have 2. In my opinion, having 2 seats in this car is not a great idea. It's technically a hatch.

  • Honda CR-Z is 2 or 4 seaters ?

  • @jmac79ers whatever man, honda isnt focused on a fast 0-60 like everyone else. whats funny is hondas are still faster than most cars on the road

  • @johnnyrckt the MUGEN body kit is available stock from Honda but the supercharger and color scheme are not:/

  • Since I live in the U.S. I won't be seeing this beauty anytime soon, my real problem is I'm not sure how much it costs. I mean >IF< it is a little steep for a Honda 4banger for the price of getting this what else could you get that could beat it?

  • @jmac79ers I am a total fan of the 90's Hondas. My favorite was my '92 Prelude VTEC and I also had an original '88 CR-X. I agree with you, those were fun. I like the way the CR-Z looks, but yes it does need a bit more spunk. I test drove a manual version. That being said, it is impossible to bring back the light-weight 90s versions in a cost effective way. I guess you could use carbon fiber or lightweight aluminum, but that would raise the price of the car to an unattainable level.

  • @thatkhmer only homo here is you
