1964-65 Gibson SG with strings that have been on it for over 5 years,Ernie Ball rules.
Played on a Boss Br 8 plugged into a Panasonic stereo.
BY the way this is just a jam on the song, the original is the best solo by far, just fun to muck around on.
Respect Gilmour

  • A little toooooo Satriani for my taste. Awesome playing though. Some things need to be left alone. I was in Sam Ashe a year or so ago and there was an older black guy playing Red House more Jimi then Jimi and had everyone mesmerized. Then this white dude plugged in with him and started throwing every note he'd ever learned in and fu@ked it up good and proper. I'm just saying. It was written that way because that's the way Gilmour plays.

  • @charlesenn

Understand, its not everyones cup of tea but it was and always was an improvisation.

I have a more serious attempt at the song on another vid. Click on my user name and check out Comfortably Numb GP (My Version). Only has pictures i took but the song i did on my Br8 recorder.

  • Don't believe the strings have been on for 5 years but very nice playing al the same. ;-)

  • Thank you for the comment. Cant pull the wool over your ears can i .You are correct the strings are not 5 years old, they are 6 years old. I quit playing in 2003 and had the guitar stored. When i got the BR8 i decided to start playing again,a few months ago now. The G string has traces of rust on it. Without the effects it sounds like a wet rag. It had mold all over it when i pulled it out of the case, and it stinks like between an old ladies toes, but it still works.
