the germans had the best weapons... i think, if the usa wouldn´t bombed germany day and night, the germans had won the war. they had plans of weapons when you see it, you think "this thanks or planes are from today"
The Germans had the technology but it came too late so they didn't have time to complete the tests and start the mass production. Me-262's shot down about 600 allied planes with the loss of a bit more than 100, even though they were vastly outnumbered in each fight. The same was with Tigers, after the Normandy assault, when most western soldiers encountered them for the first time, they got a Tigerphobia XD But at that time, the Germans were running out of... everything, so the numbers won.
After the Battle of Britain Galland got the big promotion to general. This banned him from combat missions, so most of his confirmed kills were against the British. He occasionally flew on the sly. Once demoted and commanding JV 44 (flying Me 262s) he was cleared for combat again. Galland's 104 victories included 55 Spitfires, 30 Hurricanes, and five French aircraft. All seven of his Me 262 kills were American aircraft, two of them were heavy bombers.
I can agree with that 100%. The Germans at the end, were pushing the envelope in new technologies and designs. They sacrificed the reliability that comes after prototype development, early productions, and then final mass production with all refinements included. Look at the Komet, VI, V2, even the Tiger tank which was ferocious but unreliable.

With Horten IX the best WW2 Aircraft.
But Horten was the greatest aircraft ever made in hinstory , one Horten can destroy 10 or 20 P51 and all enemy aircraft very easy.
