in the next game's introduction Esposito held onto the boards as he skated out to acknowledge the intro as if to stop himself from falling again

Too funny. I remember this, and it was definitely a tension-breaker at the time.
Espo later claimed that during the bow, he gave Kosygin and Brezhnev the finger, but I can't see it...
