snooper this is the real car that won the indy 500, classic team lotus have extensivley restored the car that belongs to the henry ford museum and it was sent back there after the festival of speed. my dad races the 1963 j.clark lotus 25 and therefore i have lots of pictures of this car before it came to the festival of speed. this car is 100% original, and it will never be seen again sadly, only displayed at the henry ford musuem.

Sorry, but it was not a DFV in the back of this car. It was a FORD V8 derived from the Fairlane model and had a capacity of 4195cc.

I am not sure if this was the actual car that won the 1965 Indy 500, as that was chassis 1, 38/1 and was taken to the Ford museum.
Chassis 4, 38/4 was in private hands after it came second in the Indy 500 of 1966 driven again by Jim Clark, and has been shown at Goodwood before.
