i think the reason for the splash range of ultras was because i remember seeing a zerg player with two or three ultralisks at a terran's wall-in and he could'nt break through because there were so many scvs that were repairing it. so as a result the zerg player gged out of the game. (and those ultras were pretty much all he had left going for him)

I just use the timer because it's funny to know that most of my games are around an hour long when it goes back and forth over and over again.

I added the timer but I find I dont use it much. I still use supply and buildings as cues, but then I am a noob.

30 frame rate is pretty good. anything below 20 is laggy. usually a good computer is 40 and above.
