JT has done it before, like I said. If you don't appreciate what they do, that's fine; but the fact that Stand Up (the album that this piece belongs to) managed to reach #1 position in US Charts with Bouree alone is proof that they haven't necessarily, "ruined the song" as you allege.
3 - Logical fallacy. Just because I don't find classical music very appealing in its own nature doesn't mean I automatically like X artist. It comes down to personal taste; I appreciate the advances that Bach, Vivaldi and Beethoven have made, but I'm not a fan of strict instrumentals.
1 - Tenacious D hasn't even made a decade, whereas Tull has land four. Your point is moot.
2 - Your reasoning is, "it should not be done on X because it was written for Y" - people can play pieces on whatever instruments they want. You act like you're such a purist, but Bouree in E Minor was actually written as a lute piece, yet you mention a guitar, therefore you agree with me. Sheet music is not meant to promote these instrument religious issues; it's meant to share ideas.
2 - If someone wrote the song/piece, or whatever you call it, on piano, or on guitar, or in a fucking drum, play it on the instrument it's meant to be played.
3 - Maybe you think classical music is boring because perhaps you like Justin Bieber, only a fool wouldn't see the beauty in classical.
@ToniSoadMix Classical Music by itself is boring, and Bouree is more of a piece than a song. I fail to see how they "ruined it"; Jethro Tull's interpretation of Bouree is very catchy and creative. Tell me, who would have thought one could add a progressive rock feel to a piece that is hundreds of years old?
You also claim that it's, "meant to be played on a classical guitar" - says who? It's the music that is to be played, not the instrument. Stop being so closed-minded.
@Faltzwig US US US US...

1 - Tenacious D plays "Classico".
2 - I don't agree with you.
3 - Stop saying X, Y and other stuff, I've had enough of biology.

@Faltzwig Oh yeah, I forgot.
"Says" the guy who started playing an instrument before you stopped using diapers.

1 - Tenacious D already did something like that.
2 - If someone wrote the song/piece, or whatever you call it, on piano, or on guitar, or in a fucking drum, play it on the instrument it's meant to be played.

Whoa mates, hold on.
This song is from Johann Sebastian Bach, and it's meant to be played on a CLASSICAL guitar.
They've ruined it, wtf.
-BTW "Tull Tune"? Bach's songs are WAY better than ANY Jethro Tull song-

Dude, don't do that!!! there's no comparison between some so so artists and these guys. Buena Vista was discovered when they were about to die.
