i'm obsessed with this maintenance method, and my white-girl dreadlocks are looking solid and locking up beautifully after just a few months!

watch this fools other video he pulls his gfs dread right off with no effort at all crocher=t destroys dreads and this guys single handedly responsible for an epidemic of ruined weak dreads he even dares to claim it broke cause he didnt crochet it enough

never crochet dreads! you break hairs with everry poke your creating the loose hairs your fixing and weakening the dreads in the process making you a slave to the hook .. worse advice everr crochet is extremely destrucvtive and takes 6 months to recover from 1 use

How do you tighten the roots?
My have have been loc'd for 4 months now, do your hair have to be totally loc'd to do this technique? Mine is not totally loc'd but I do have alot of loose hair.

This method will work for your hair as long as your locs are not twists. Meaning if your locs are formed from knots then the crochet hook will help grab those loose hairs and pull them back into the loc helping them to form more knots.

Every bodys hair is different and therefore their dreads will be different too. For thin straight hair I suggest only light maintenance as the dreads stabilize. Realize that with straight hair in a dread loc there will always be loose hairs and hair ends sticking out. When there is a large grouping then pull it back into the loc with the crochet hook.
