MEET DEVON

Originally from Northern California, Devon made his way to Los Angeles
to continue his career as a professional dancer and choreographer in
2000. Currently represented by Trio Talent Agency, he has danced for
such artists as J-Lo and The A-teens, and has been in commercials
Heineken Beer, Bally's Total Fitness, and Honda USA. Devon has also
choreographed for the Calvin Klein "Crave" release promo tour, the
Miss Asia USA pageant, and the Vina Morales US tour "Revealed." He has
most recently been seen "locking" in Jamie Kennedy's recent comedy
film "Kickin' It Old Skool", and competing with his crew as one of the
finalists in America's Got Talent.

The director of the hip hop performance troupe "SickStep", Devon has a
familiarity with a wide range of hip hop dance styles -- from
commercial hip hop (most commonly seen in music videos) to freestyle
dances such as locking, house, and bboyin'. Strongly influenced by
hip-hop culture, he embraces all forms of dance and movement. He
believes that hip-hop music and style are constantly evolving by
borrowing and integrating aspects of other styles, and therefore so
should hip-hop dance. His classes and choreography focus on this by
incorporating as many different influences as possible.

Devon has been teaching dance almost as long as he has been
performing, having led Master-class workshops throughout the US,
Canada, Europe, and Latin America. An instructor that has previously taught at
acclaimed Hollywood studios such as Hama's Dance Center and The
Millenium Dance Complex, he currently teaches at two of Orange
County's most renowned dance studios: Impact Dance Center in the city
of Cypress, and Team OC in Costa Mesa, CA.
