The Toronto Horovel Armenian duduk and folk group performing the traditional Armenian folk song titled "Mayr Araksi Aperov". Horovel is seen here performing as a duduk quartet comprising 3 duduks and one bass duduk, accompanied by the Canar Symphony Orchestra.

The duduks are overwhelmed by the orchestral backing. Try again with a better arrangement.

It does come through that way but that is only because the acoustics are bad through the video camera of the person taking the clip. If you could hear it through the mixer, the balance is much better.

Lol, I don't claim to have perfect pitch, but its very obvious that the tuning isn't very good.

well i can admit that it does go off sometimes but have you ever tried playing the duduk or know anything about it...its incredibly difficult to keep in tune due to its primitiveness...its a piece of wood for god's sakes and the soloist isn't professional...get some respect...

it's true, it's the camera which was placed much closer to the orchestra which makes them sound much louder than they actually are. but it also hides many of the unavoidable imperfections in the duduks' performance

Appriciate the music obviously the dudukchi is a kid. So its not gonna be perfect like Jivan. Give props to these kids who atleast are interested in things like this

Yes, I do apologize for that. I realize that tuning must be a nightmare. Its just hard for me to enjoy the music with tuning like that sorry =/
