@Abglanz ..dumbest youtube comment ever,..it's not "jeff beck and friends" (i dont know where you got that from) ..its roger waters. becky is the guitar player in the backing band. he is doing his job perfectly. would you prefer it if he went to the mike and yelled "good evening chicago" or something, or told a funny story about his taxi ride to the gig. ...unbelievable...speechless.

...I dont understand why people must overlap judgements - most of which are subjective or emotional commentary.
The Post Barrett Pink Floyd line up was a synestigistic success story. They got the writing, music, audio production, live show and even the album cover design spot on.
Pink Floyd like numerous other legendary bands that had important sustained output will still be played in 300 years time. Just like the classical masters are played today

I always hear people saying that Gilmour isn't a good performer, that he isn't a good showman, so what? I don't go to concerts to watch people jump around and dance, I go to HEAR the music. I guess all of you complaining that Gilmour isn't a good performer don't listen to CD's, I guess you found Pink Floyd on youtube and judged how good they were by how much movement the artist's did, as opposed to how good they sounded. You're a retard if you judge a concert by how much the musicians move!!!

It is the only concert in which "What God Wants (Part 3)" is performed live.

Part 3 is one of the greatest solos......just hate the way the song ends on ATD with the phone.......but still great to see this footage...

@chriswhiting7 Yes I agree. I've seen them both in concert and I think that Roger Waters has a much better stage presence than Gilmour. Roger simply oozes the stuff that makes for an electric performance where with Gilmour one cannot tell there is a great person standing on stage. An old PF girlfriend of Syd said it best in an interview "David is nice and sweet and all that but lacks that certain je ne se quois which Syd and Roger had in abundance"

@OfficialNeilGard My mistake - I tend to listen to the 'Is There Anybody Out There' version more than the album where they share the vocals live (sounds better for it too!)

I don't understand the constant desire by some to put down great artists whose shoes none of us is worthy to tie and it happens all over youtube. Gilmour is a great guitarist and a better singer than Waters. Waters is the better songwriter. Why trash Gilmour or Waters because one can do things better than the other? Together, they're even better....... if they can stand to be in the same room long enough...... Mr Grumpy Pants, as Gilmour refers to Waters :-)
@cykoaudio777 Gilmour is a better musician no doubt. But not a better performer. Roger actually puts a lot into his live performances whereas Gilmour just stands there. I would rather see a Roger Waters gig which is much more expressive, emotional and engaging rather than the ethereal soundscape and distanced experienced at a Gilmour concert.

@Abglanz That's because Jeff's a MUSICIAN and not an ENTERTAINER. He interacts with the other musicians and the music. Also, since he's backing Roger, he probably doesn't want to steal attention.
