The culmination of my experience as a college student at Full Sail University. For someone with a hearing disability and enduring all the strife and pressure at this school, I hope this video can represent me enough as an artist. Expect more to come!

  • So these programs. Did they cost money or are they free?

  • Some of these programs I got free being a student at Full Sail, others I've used in open labs, and some came with my Apple Macbook that was given to help with my courses at Full Sail studying Game Art. If you're a student, you can get certain programs with a huge student discount. On their own they're pretty pricy if you want the licensed versions of these programs. Unreal Development Kit is free, CrazyBump has a free version, and you can get a trial version for ZBrush. Anything else, Google.

  • Good job, Alexi! This is AJ!

  • Thank you! :)

  • Hey could you tell me what programs you used on these projects (I need the names please)

  • I apologize if I didn't outline the specific programs used- their logos are indicated at the end of the reel and I realize not everyone may be familiar with company logos. So the applications I've used are as follows:

    Adobe Photoshop CS4

    Autodesk Maya 2011

    Unreal Development Kit

    Pixologic ZBrush

    CrazyBump

    Final Cut Pro

    Final Cut Studio - Motion

  • Thank you. :) Yes, it was very tough, to the extent that it really made me consider cochlear implants instead of waiting on stem cell research, but I made it. Thank you for your comment! :D

  • Can't imagine how tough it must have been to go through with a hearing disability. The demo reel is gorgeous either way. You will surely get a job soon.
