Governor Dick Needs your Help!

I made this video in 2002 when the plan to develop Governor Dick forest was first made public. I was recently informed that logging would be expanded this winter (2008) so I wanted to post this video to spread word about this issue.
Please write, call, do what you can to protect this rare and valuable mature forest.

That's messed up~Clarence & Evetta Schock's wishes were their wishes... What right do they have to make plans that contradict their wishes?! What a shame

Yeah, It's a beautiful unspoiled forest. But the Board of Trustees are determined to make a profit off this property that the Schock's entrusted them to protect.

So between the cell towers, the visitors center, and outright logging, the forest is slowly being whittled away. Lucky for us Bill Knapp, who is a writer for the local paper, has been raising public awareness of the issue. If we can get enough public response we can block the plans.

i attended and protested at those original meetings. this is THE issue. one small example of many across the country and world how people have lost their way seek to dominate nature forgetting that we're actually dependent on it. what blatant disrespect for nature and the man's wishes. follow the money trail and it tells all...
