what an awesome guitarist ... going back to Moses ... there is just nothing predictable about his melodic development ... if you listen a lot to him you recognize can maybe even anticipate a "Hahn lick" (for lack of better term and recognizing his vocab was built from horn players) ... but it's the way he connects the dots to arrive at his destination ... it's still a mystery and I've been listening to him for over 35 years ...
I agree...but the truth is that most people who frequent clubs are usually out for something besides music. And the fact that we live in an almost musically illiterate society adds to this disrespect. I am a musician (I played drums with Jerry back in the 70's) and my solution is to not play in most clubs any more. But sometimes one has to just bite the bullet and play for those few who are actually listening.
I can't understand with a musician(s) of this caliber, that the people there aren't paying a bit more respect by not talking so loudly and listening to what is clearly music that is above your basic club band! They deserve, and have earned, Respect !

Love the Jerry Hahn Brotherhood with Mike Finnigan on organ and singing. Captain Bobby Stout, one of the coolest songs ever.
