Breaks are important in training to allow the body to rest, rebuild and build bigger.
They also will keep you from overtraining which can cause boredom and worse, injuries. I personally never work out on weekends, holidays, or vacations; and take a full month to six weeks off every year. You lose little in such short periods except a little endurance, but can rebuild quickly when you return, recharged.
Thanks for all the great comments and support!

  • Utuber, those numbers change as I don't always work to the max, sometimes use multiple sets and max reps instead of weight, etc. Right now I think my max bench is around 350 with sets at around three hundred. Squats I do with lighter weights (200

or so) and lots of deep reps. Deadlifts, 225 in sets, mil presses I do on machines and max out the weights, can't recall what that is but it's over two hundred and do that in sets. I add weight anytime I can do more than ten reps. Hope that helps bud
