Eight Years Ago..

Eight years ago, September 12th, 2003. The world lost a music icon. Johnny Cash.
This is my yearly September video for Johnny Cash and it is different, not all songs are by Cash.
The first one was written as a tribute to Cash from Joe Strummer, who sings the song. Called "Long Shadow"
The third song was written by Mike Ness called "Ballad of a Lonely Man" it was supposed to appear on Ness' first solo album, "Cheating at Solitaire" as a duet with Johnny but unfortunately, Cash became ill and the recording never occurred.

We still miss you, Johnny Cash.

What a super sung tribute to Johnny C. I have been very fortunate to see him in concerts and to also pay homage to him and his family in Henderson Memorial Gardens. The latter was just a couple of months after his death, and was accompanied by the manager who knew the family and shared some of his memories with me. True care and hospitality. God Bless all those gone before.
