Drunks/alcoholics are hardly ever wife beating, drink driving, waste of space no - hopers. Theyre usually some of the finest most unusual minds in the planet. Theyre usually very sensitive and complex and emotionally supercharged when sober and so they need to drink to escape themselves and to make other people who are more boring and mundane seem more interesting. Oliver Reed and George Best are the best examples of this.
