@ataraxic89 There are just too many bits to laugh at, but one that I always remember is "When moving through the rain-forest it's best to move quickly and keep up your momentum" (as he runs down a hill). Know a forward scout who had to do that in Papua after coming face to face with Jap HMG position. After 100m his clothes were gone, after 200m his skin was gone. 2 weeks in hospital. Another beauty is when he goes into a mine under the "assumption" that it will have another lower exit. :-)

I know right. it pisses me off, sure, bear is cool and all but fuck that stuff he does is worthless and probably all cooked up by his producers against the better judgement of the real survival expert on staff. Besides, Bear is in it just for the money and I doubt he gives a damn if the things he says work get someone killed. I mean "his" knives are fucking shit.

@PaidPuppyTV No it's an exothermic reaction, the energy comes from the chemicals reacting, you could put it in a bottle but then you'd just have a melted bottle. Potassium Permanganate is a good water treatment option, especially as a secondary treatment to remove taste of Chlorine or Iodine.
