  • @DYLANDISASTERbz My point is that games can be pointless, but they can be inspiring too. It all depends on how they are made. Films are like that too. Transformers is shit but Citizen Kane is awesome. They are just different art forms. The problem is that there are 'transformer' quality games too. Like many shooters and such. That's the thing with mass-media products.

  • @optiluiz My point is that video games are pointless (but fun) and films are legendary. Haven't films been known to inspire people and evolve the world as opposed to games?

  • @DYLANDISASTERbz @DYLANDISASTERbz A sandwich may have caused WWII. I don't think a movie could top that. I'm not even kidding, look it up on cracked. That's besides the point.

  • @optiluiz A film from 1939 may have started WWII. I don't think any video game could top that. Just saying.

  • @DYLANDISASTERbz Silent Hill 2; Shadow Of The Colossus; etc. That doesn't really matter. I'm just trying to say that no artform is above another. They are all equally important.

  • @optiluiz That's true, but none have actually shown that. Films are still better.

  • @DYLANDISASTERbz Writers used to say the exact same thing about film. It all depends on how well made it is. You shouldn't be so quick to judge something just because you only know a few bad examples. Games are like the lovechild of Movies and Interactive Performance arts, though games have the advantage of better immersion. Both have the potential to be wonderful artforms and just popcorn entertainment.

  • @optiluiz You're right. Video-games and films are completely different. One is a waste of time and the other is an awesome form of visual creativity and expression which has innovated and inspired people and still is, the waste of time being video-games.

  • @DYLANDISASTERbz There's nothing wrong with videogames, or any other art form. They're all just different.

  • Films are definitely one of the greatest innovations in history. I am absolutely intrigued by films. There's so many amazing things about them. Special effects, acting, sets. It's always awesome. While everyone's wasting their time playing video-games, I'll be at the theatre or on my computer watching awesome movies!
