This poor car got hauled to BIR and pounded and survived other than the bent shift handle who got excited maby the driver thats OK every one had fun drank lots of BEERE and made it home safe!!!!! All in good fun.

that's because they were sold as cars meant for fun. cheap fun. Even back then with all that torque and power they were never even close to being as powerful and nimble as the Trans-Am race cars- which could handle quite well.

had 69 amx 4 speed with go package,390,someone put a 290 in it,I put a warmed over 030 over 401 with a 727 torqflite,it was all stock,strips,restored,new chrome,tailight housing etc,12.70 with non drag radials though the headers and muffler's,so it was quick for a stocker looking AMX.
