Turbinomics is a Rand Elliott creation spawned from an international skyscraper design competition Elliott entered in January 2009. The rendering shows an office tower with horizontal spinning turbines and a stainless steel skin that would derive much of its power courtesy of the Oklahoma wind. The tower would be energy-efficient from top to bottom. Working with Elliott on the design elements is an engineering team at Oklahoma State University.
