@johncrwarner I see your point but I also think they serve as an important part of history and we have seen what happens when governments and others try and white wash history. They are part of Derry's history and rather than white wash the old murals which I see as brilliant and creative art works I would suggest painting new ones. With history you take the bad with the good and I would certainly be opposed to white washing them as I think that would cause even more antagonism.
