I think stuart was brain damaged somehow, and if I recall correctly, they had him hidden in the mansion for years, rather than institutionalize him, because he threw a rock at their step dad and killed him or it was something with palmer courtland. Pretty sure that is the background.

What was Stuart's official disability called. Was it Autism? I have a slight bit of Autism myself. This piece is acted out very well, I agree.

I don't know if Stuart had an exact disability. I think he was just a bit slwo due to his years in isolation.
