*actually corn(maize) is native to the Americas...making it impossible for corn on the cob to be european in origin. As are tomatoes. And Potatoes. Therefore, any european dish involving corn, tomatoes, or potatoes would be impossible if not for the discovery of the Americas. BTW, if by "roman people" you mean the roman empire...the americas were discovered by europeans about 1000 years after Rome fell. Also, I don't think anyone disputes the American origin of the hamburger...

Who the hell are you to say what America has and doesn't have if you're living in Britain?

Also, you're naming British food and downing Americans for not having it (wherever you visited)?  I don't quite understand you...

British food is good, but on the whole, America has wayyy more variety. Oh and btw, we do have bakeries for fresh bread. I live in the Southern states (where people least expect them) and they're everywhere.

Please, read up on real American food before you start judging..

hamburger, cookies macaroni and cheese and corn on the cob are all european pizza too....Roman people invented them
