my geometry class is doing this for this really cool project. i'm doing a circle-shaped coral (like this one i think). but it looks more like a baby sock. :/ or one of those "tube" corals. i don't know how to "increase" the stitches.

@falalaxfearless Hi there! Thanks for your comment. That's so great that you are doing this in school, it must be fun to learn about! You increase at a constant rate. The crochet is one spiral, as long as you choose a rate of increase (Like 1 in 2 or 1 in 3) and don't change, you will create a hyperbolic form. So start with a couple of stitches, then increase (say 1 in 3) like this: single - single - 2 into one - single - single - 2 into one - and repeat. It will start to crenellate after a bit.
