The Black Keys named in honor of a schizophrenic Akron artist, who called the boys "black keys", his phrase for people who weren't quite right.

@Cshizzle94 hey now. personally i love the whites stripes just a little more than the black keys. the "reason" they split was because of Meg's severe anxiety issues. it was not from a lacking fan base or bad music i assure you.

Or were you referring to their 3 grammys they won as being overrated? Trust me, there's a reason The Black Keys are still around and the White Stripes aren't...
