I fell in love with Carrie and Hammerbox at the Crocodile, listening to "Bred" for the first time. Carrie would chat with the audience like they were in her living, room then wail like a siren (the Greek kind or the emergency kind? Yes). I LOVE her voice, and the sound the band created was its equal in dynamics, power and being interesting as hell. My favorite band from Seattle's halcyon days.
