Its just sad to see what black music has turned into these days. Get back the old jazz and blues!

This song has a fascinating history. Doc Pomus, who was paralized since a young child from polio, wrote this song for his wife. He wanted her to be able to dance when they went out to nightclubs, but he wanted to make sure she always knew he was her love and would go home with him at the end of the evening. Mort Shuman brought the melody back from his many travels, this one in particular was after he returned from Mexico. Doc put the words to Mort's melody.

I used to work in the business in the 70s working with dozens of entertainers. Ben E King was one of the nicest people I had the pleasure of working with.

Congratulations for this video ... I watch it every day a few times, the more I see it the more I love it. It's really marvellous ... and the outfit of the guitarist, oh my God ! Wow ... I'm really breathless.
Thank you very much indeed.
Kind regards from a Belgian keyboard player

Thanks. It was a great experience to tour with Ben, and yes, Gaz was well know for his 'striking' dress sense :)
