In other words you're saying the Rebbe was Moshiach Ben Yosef. I think even that is debatable since Moshiach Ben Yosef must bring all Jews to do teshuva and that hasn't even come close to happening yet

According to the Rambam- miamonodies Moshiach is NOT allowed to say "i am Moshiach", this is one of the signs that he is a false messiah. But. He is allowed to hint and insinuate, the Rebbe said (and it's printed, so go look it up) that the leader of the generation is Moshiach, Moshiach's name is Menachem etc...
