@colour749 if you do some research you will find that the UK and Canada do have govt controlled healthcare and it is rationed and many people die because of inferrior treatment and out dated practices. The govt controls who and what you will receive.I don't want some fucking idiot in this administration deciding I am too old to receive care and that is what the death panels are. healthcare should not have a profit made from it and is considerably better quality and cheaper in countries with a socialist system such as the UK.

that doesn't mean i want everything nationalized only things important to the state like steel etc

coolmom: Some people fly overseas for medical care, like to Thailand, etc. Also, Americans can't just go to Canada and expect health care unless maybe you could claim you're married to a Canadian.

Well, listen to this. The patient comes 1st. The insurance company, and THE INEFFICIENT GOVERNMENT, should not come between what's best for the patient AS DETERMINED BY THEIR DOCTOR.

My experience with the VA system( the government) is that of extreme inefficiency.

My experience with insurance companies, efficiency but heartlessness.

Solution: tweek insurance company regulations( don't penalize sick patients).

Keep the government out of it. You guys suck at doing things.

Every health care provider I've talked to says this will kill quality care in the US.

Hint: No one I know goes to foreign countries for their healthcare. Hmmmm. . . wonder what that means. . . .
