  • Just ignore all the rude comments i think you did a GREAT job with your horse & keep up the good work:))

  • @Cholina12 Thank you, I am trying to keep improving ;-)

  • whys everyone being so horrible? i think she did really well, and if everybody thinks she did so badly it might be nice if you tried doing it before criticizing - it is very hard! she got great marks anyway, so the proffessionals thought she did well and so do i :)

  • @ericalibbydibby Thanks for the kind words :-)

  • Okay - I sucks because I think it's not a PNH instructor's responsiblity to "make" someone wear a helmet as Spikeryder3213 says? Even Pat and Linda say wearing a helmet is our decision. If someone doesn't wear one because they feel peer pressured not to? that's just not savvy in any horse world - natural or normal. What does your relationship with your horse tell you to do?

    BTW-this video rocks!

  • why such horrible comments? She's not trying to say she's the best rider in the world, just posting some moments with her and her horse! Get a life and stop critisizing.

  • Well done Mels. Nice effort. For those that are being mean they must have been born knowing how to do everything perfectly for the rest of us we have to learn and I think you did well. I'm hoping to take up TREC in the coming year if and when I find myself a suitable horse partner.

  • You know as a kind of aside I have seen clinton anderson on a public video yank a horse's head hard with a rope to 'keep it focused' on him all the time while the two were 'just' standing near eachother. The horse didNot understand WhY it was being jerked on like that and i lost ALL apreciation for a trainer I had cautiously approved of for gentle methods. I look at how a person treats an animal, not the method or the games BUT you sure can teach a horse all the games you want.,Just make it fun

  • @MelsPartner congrats on the foal

  • @blackpheonix1254 Hi there was a halter on him but nothing in his mouth, and the reason being i knew my balance wasn't great but i was working on improving it so i didn't ride in a bit so as not to cause my horse more discomfort.

  • @ArabianImages I'd love to give it a go now bareback. I may see if i can when i get back into trec but at the moment my mare has just foaled so we are not doing so much.

  • @nyzbii Thank you, and very good words of advice.

  • @EVTR4lfe Hi there because i was making alot of mistakes. none the less at the time of posting this video i was very proud of it, as we had come along way from where we started. i could easily take this video down now but feel if i did that it would be for the wrong reasons.

  • I'm sorry , but until the Parellis grow up and start recommending -helmets, I will consider them back yard trainers...

I have sen quite a few horses become really messed up w/ their "games".

I met Pat years ago and was told by him that my horse was just not a "good" one to work with... too bad I only won at 4th Level Dressage and got Regional Titles in Western Trail as well as Dressage, Jumping and Side Saddle...
