It's called Algon! Absolutely incredible.
The music of the band is again every convential idea, how music have to be.This kind of music is rebellious and juvenile and renew.

Zappa loved using the Sex sells out-let and made fun of human sexuality. " Thing Fish " for example made light of HIV Aids of all things. But Mothers Live at the Filmore East was Sexual silliness at its best and it was great.
I love the fact Phil used JF for an outlet. This S#&% is top notched. The "And then there were Three" album ROCKS and paved the way for Phil's future Pop outlet heavily based in Motown. Lets face it Dude was all over the place ! See " Wilding Bonus" for Collins fans...

@heubler1 I see what you mean, but I wouldn't say Zappa ALWAYS had a sexual theme. Zappa also had some VERY high-brow stuff in his work (the abstract orchestral work, baroque piano stuff, and free-jazz)...it's just that he used the TITLES to take the mick out of "high-brow" by pointing out its pretense. In that sense, I think Brand X achieved the same result. I love Weather Report, but if Chick Corea had his say, this song might have been called "Tilting the 8th Dimension." Brand X made it fun.

No, it's not. Zappa always had a sexual theme, that Brand X didn't have. They were always more high-brow, and neo-classical in their musical outlook. And Zappa would never have allowed such an ethereal base-line. He was much more punctual, as it were. He was more R&B based than Brand X. Plus, the members of Brand X were/are more of a collaborative effort, whereas Zappa was more top-down musical management, albeit with a very loose hand on the reins.

I had Morrocan Roll on vinyl. I turned a lot of people on to early Genesis and Brand X. It took one of them to remind me of Brand X. The vinyl has been packed away too long! Got to get it out. My 21 year old Navy son loves Old G and I am sure he will like this! @haroldt You are right about selling out. I can remember the disappointment when I put in And Then There Were Three. Phil had the Brand X side to his career...Just a different path taken. Packaged units for sale. Next.

@SpagsJippy This tune (studio version) and Resus Perplexus, from "Product." Other than that, looks like most of my other favs are already up on YouTube.
Thanks! Love this live version of Algon!!!!

@dharmaseed You are entitled to your own opinion, yes. But it seems to me your under the impression that success & creativity cannot go hand in hand at times. "Invisible Touch" was a huge album, with 5 or 6 huge singles. And shit man, its even got a great instrumental track, what more do you want? Are you just not a fan of drum machines? Does the idea of a vast majority of people liking the same music you do make you sick? That's what childish comments like yours insinuate...
