ParanoiDave - Hulk Brooks is Out for Justice

A weird Dnb/trance piece made as part of my course at University of Glamorgan. Usually I never upload uni work to this site and tend to keep most of my creative stuff separate, but in this case I'll make an exception.

Hopefully we can get some funny hater comments about how all "techno" sounds the same and how guitar music is the only good kind of music because Kerrang! said so.....oh well.

I really like your song...although the constant beeping sounds makes me think of how you describe Bullet For My Valentine.... and the drum fill is pretty similar to the beginning of "Eyeless" by Slipknot..... wait, didn't you rip on that EXACT song in one of your videos??!?!? interesting!

You'll be glad to hear that "drum fill" you're naively attributing to Slipknot is the Amen break, it's a famous drum loop that's been around since the 1960's. Pretty much every drum and bass artist EVER has used it at some point. And you're right, I DID rip on that exact song, because except for the famous drum sample at the beginning, the song is a dreary piece of shit.

Also I described bullet as "Grown men singing about girl problems" so I don't see how that sounds like beeping.

@Paranoidave The beeping thing was a comment on your video saying "It's barely music, I'd say it's closer to the beeping noises they play in lifts to actual proper music." Whether or not it's the Amen Break has nothing to do with the fact that both you and Slipknot found it appealing. The difference between me telling you your music sucks and you saying the same about them is all in the Grammy and multiple platinum records. Obviously they're doing something better than you.

It's one of the most famous loops in music history, how could you NOT find it appealing?

Also I'm pretty sure, Coldplay, Justin Beiber and all those other bands that are near universally despised have more awards than Slipknot. At the risk of sounding arrogant, I think ANY band with Roadrunners marketing division and an adolescent-friendly gimmick could achieve just as much, if not MORE than Slipknot......hell, look at Nickelback.

Yeah i guess that message was partly related too the slipknot one from before and i did move too this right after it. And what you said "done in a very short amount of time", I don't exactly go around recording noises from my phone(example) and post them up seeing what people think and my excuse of why it isn't good is because i didn't have enough time, just because you made it doesn't mean you need to share it buddy.

I agree to an extent. As it says in the intro (can you read?) it was uni work done in a very short amount of time, a bit of a rush job. As uni work it had to conform to certain criteria, and there's no way you can get past that (well you can if you want, but it just means you fail).

But had you just said what you said there instead of your mouthy little "shit follows you wherever you go" Then I wouldn't think you're just another braindead, knuckledragging, bogan headbanger.
