After the show got cancelled during season 3 they tried to change the networks mind. So they came up with this it was not a trailer it was a pitch for season 4 so that they could get Veronica Mars back on the air.

@sarawrbp I agree, I think they should have continued with Hearst! It wouldn't be the same without Keith, Mac, Logan, Wallace, and why bring Leo back at the end of season 3 if he wasn't going to be a part of season 4 (by the looks of this trailer anyway because who really knows!)

this is completely off from what veronica mars was for the past three seasons. don't get me wrong, I LOVEEE the veronica mars series but where's the noir element in this trailer? Why didn't the creators finish up with Veronica's education at Hearst? why is the show going in a completely new direction in terms of plot and cinematography? Of course, this is only a trailer and maybe all the questions will be answered. The biggest thing that bothers me is just that the mood/tone is not even the same
