@rpgabc123 : it's not the questions about excommunication that was being laughed at. It was actually about Cardinal Arinze's reply/witty parallelism in answer to the person's question.

Cardinal Arinze rocks so much, I'd love to be able to talk to him once

There really should be a spew alert on this video. I just spit my desert all over my laptop. ;) I love Cardinal Arinze, I really do. :)

I don't understand what is wrong with this person's question. I admire the person's zeal in asking the question. Why is the excommunication suggestion laughed at? Action is needed.

@dsydebot Now hold on. There is still a but in there. And you make a good point. He's still African. So there's a chance he may have been black after all. Which is great. We may not know, but I'd like to think it's still possible. There's nothing wrong with that.

@MontChevalier It is unfortunate, but we have no portraits of any of the earlier Pope made while they were still alive. I don't know who the earliest Pope of whom there exists a life portrait :(
-
@dsydebot The picture on Saint Militiades doesn't seem like he's black at all. No offense. But granted, we may never exactly know for sure if he was truly black.
-
@MontChevalier There have actually been 3 African Popes in history. At least 1 of them (St. Miltiades, I believe) was black, and the other 2 *might * have been.

Arinze is converted from Islam to Christianity. God Bless Our Humble Cardinal Arinze...
So many of us would have liked to see Cardinale Arinze elected Pope. But the Lord works in mysterious ways, and Benedict is great!

Cardinal Arinze is great and holy man... It reminds me of a few lines from "A Man For All Seasons" Saint Thomas More: ...Then God can arrest him.
