Paved Paridise (Big Yellow Taxi)

This is an attempt at animation that I made a while back. The animation is called "Paved Paradise" and it featrues the Counting Crows version of the song "Big Yellow Taxi." Some of the criticism that I got was that my characters didn't move a whole lot, sorry about that, but in the next one I'll try to do better in that respect.

I haven't animated in a while, but I do have this show idea buzzing around in my head that I have started a little bit of, but I don't know if I'll get around to finishing it.

what does the 'big yellow taxi' really imply?

Big Yellow Taxi is the actual name of the song (although most people call it Paved Paridise.) If you mean what does the big yellow taxi in the video imply, it's supposed to be something that takes animals away and puts them in a zoo type environment.

@cjinnett Rachel Carson died in 1April 14, 1964...ironically from the complications from undergoing chemotherapy due to breast cancer...I always believed that Joni Mitchell song was both a tribute to her and a sort of carrying on of her legacy...

@cjinnett Don't put this version down its good & its faster then my having to wait the flash site your link sent me to. Great way to illustrate it...like the idea of the cooking show in the beginning...excellent sense of humor.

By the way, the line about DDT is almost a direct quote from the book by Rachel Carson called Silent Spring in it she points out how many of the DDT where indeed keeping the fruit spotless but the cost would be a silent spring because it would kill the birds etc.
