After much changes throughout the years, Cajon Summit is still a mythical place to watch big railroad action. Back at the time of shooting (that video footage - sorry) - 1997 - was already fenced off and guarded. Just a fews years before, access was "simple".

  • I have never been there personally (unfortunatly). I may have a commercial tape of this RR. I'm not promising. I must check.

  • do you have or know anyone who has videos of the san joaquin valley railroad (sjvr) out of exeter? I never seen any posted

  • I agree about the possible double meaning. I've edited the description's text. Yes, something "bad" happened there: Someone jumped onto a train and turned the handle of the main break line behind the fourth car. It lead the train to an sure disaster with only the breaking power of the engines and the four first cars. I'm sure your remember of that. The train ran down wild and derailed. I guess there has been fatalities in that crash. It must have happened between 1995 and 1997.

  • i thought you meant the other kind since you mentioned gates and guards and stuff, I never heard of anything happening there

  • the "shooting of that video". Should I use a different verb? please tell me.

  • what are you talking about a shooting?
