The Tai Chi form has lost its original meaning since tai chi is being taught mostly for health and relaxation. To improve our tai chi, we need to understand the martial applications. This video illustrates the four basic techniques of peng, lu, ji, an. Once you know this, you will realise that "Stroking the peacock's tail" is not about playing with a beautiful bird. The techniques are demonstrated by push hands instructors Tas and Igor of the Chen Style Taijiquan Academy in Melbourne, Australia. See website: http://www.peterwutaichi.com
